PROJECT DESTINY
Who is Vante?
Vante is an employee-owned, global technology company that designs and produces best of breed products for the precise manipulation of medical plastics. It is focused on catheter development and manufacturing, bio-pharmaceutical products, and related engineering services.
Vante has a worldwide direct channel sales system to original equipment manufacturers (OEMs) and distributors. In addition, dozens of multinational biotechnology and pharmaceutical firms utilize its line of biotechnology products. From 1976 to 2010 Vante has grown at a healthy rate in the multi-billion dollar worldwide catheter market, which has a proven annual growth rate of eight to ten percent. Industry players in the field include large, well-capitalized companies such as Boston Scientific, Medtronic, Cook Medical, St. Jude Medical, and Johnson & Johnson.
Vante has a strong industry reputation and is extremely well positioned to take itself to the next level via a visionary business plan called Project Destiny.
What is Project Destiny?
The manufacturing equipment market will grow significantly in the next few years, offering Vante exciting new opportunities.
In conjunction with our client companies, Vante identified the need for a solutions provider with integrated products that address multiple needs. We also concluded that Vante could transform itself from a product line company focused on one step of a multi-step process into just such an integrated company.
Currently catheter customer companies must serve as "general contractors," coordinating multiple small companies that each provide one step of a multi-step process. This arduous task distracts them from core missions such as management, development and marketing and creates an overdependence on thinly capitalized venders, increasing the rationale for an end-to-end production management company.
Bringing together various resources to streamline this process, coupled with the development of product innovations, will help solve these capital inefficiencies.
Project Destiny will address all of these issues, and we are looking for like-minded companies with whom to build synergistic partnerships.
What has Project Destiny Achieved So Far?
As part of Project Destiny, Vante has built a world-class management team with Fortune 50 company experience, and in the process blended top shelf operational know how with the far reaching vision necessary to take the company to the next level.
In 2009 Vante divested of its Blood Collection and Processing division, a major step that provided the company with the substantial capital necessary to grow its medical technology divisions. In conjunction with this move, Vante right-sized the company and simplified its offerings, resulting in fewer products, parts, and transactions - as well as increased efficiencies and profits. In addition, Vante executed a sophisticated and multi-faceted rebranding to reflect its new circumstances and mission.
As part of Project Destiny, Vante has initiated various innovative strategic partnerships with leading companies in the medical field. For example, Vante:
- Partners with ASG Medical Systems to produce the groundbreaking Automated Tipping System, which effectively doubles the capacity of the equipment involved, providing an excellent return on investment,
- Conducts contract research and development work with Haemonetics, and
- Has product development and engineering partnerships with major industry players.
So where does Vante take Project Destiny from Here?
Vante is in the process of identifying synergistic partnership opportunities with additional companies to take Project Destiny to the next level. These partnerships will take various forms, including:
- Co-marketing agreements,
- Sharing distribution networks,
- Acquiring product lines, divisions or companies,
- Creating technology licensing opportunities, and
- Developing other types of joint ventures.
